WOW! I cannot believe it is already August! We have had a wonderful, BUSY summer!!!! In July we got back from our AMAZING Make-A-Wish trip. We all had a wonderful time together and it felt so good to just get away from it all and relax. Sidebar: After day 1 of the cruise I was panic attack free - this is the first time since November!!!!! We are so VERY thankful for the organization and all that it did for our family, our hope is to one day be able to give back.
In July, Ashlyn's dance team participated in Relay for LIfe, it was so special for us to be able to be a part of it, met some great people and loved watching Ashlyn bond with her team. Being a part of this event inspired me to help make it BIGGER next year, I would LOVE to see Tigard represent and participate in this amazing cause.
At the end of the month the girls headed to Disney World with their dad. They had a wonderful time and many great memories were made I am sure.
We are now coming upon the start of the craziness of the school year, dance practice starts, soccer practice starts, school supplies need to be bought and I suppose I should go into my classroom at some point and begin to tackle that!!!!
Madi turns 11 this year, it amazes me, her 10th year was nothing we ever expected and it somewhat seems like a bad dream. We made it through he first treatment MRI with clear scans and I look forward with hope to a new year, a "normal" year for us all.
I still reflect so much and am so thankful for all the people in our lives, we are so blessed with such wonderful friends (and strangers, who we now consider friends).
The next scans are in November, fingers crossed. Madi is meeting with her Endocrinologist on Tuesday and our hope is to get the dosage for the DI correct, she is back to peeing and drinking all the time. But hey, this we can handle right!!!!
WE got this....
